The Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Commission announced that maximum benefits for injuries, illnesses and deaths will increase by 4.3% in January to match an increase in the state’s average weekly wage.
The state’s average weekly wage increased to $1,083.46 from $1,038.31, and, as a result, the maximum temporary total disability benefit and permanent total disability benefit will increase to the same amount.
Maximum death benefits are capped at 100% of the deceased worker’s wages or the state’s average weekly wage, whichever is less.
Permanent partial disability benefits are 70% of the worker’s average weekly wage and capped at $360 per week.
