One80 buys reinsurance MGU Waypoint

One80 Intermediaries Tuesday said it has acquired Waypoint Underwriting Management LLC, a Basking Ridge, New Jersey-based managing general underwriter specializing in reinsurance.
Terms were not disclosed.
Waypoint was formed in 2017 by a group of former XL Catlin executives led by managing partner Jason Denechaud.
The company offers property/casualty, workers compensation, and accident and health reinsurance, a One80 statement said.
One80 is a Boston-based wholesale unit of Accession Risk Management Group.
