Philippe Meyenhofer will succeed Jacques Bonneau as CEO of PartnerRe Ltd. and take his place on the board of directors, effective April 1, 2024, the company said Tuesday.
Jon Colello, CEO, P&C Americas, will then assume the added role of president of PartnerRe Ltd., with executive responsibility for all property/casualty underwriting, reporting to Mr. Meyenhofer, who will continue to be based in the company’s Zurich office. Mr. Colello will continue to be based in Stamford, Connecticut.
Mr. Meyenhofer joined PartnerRe in 2010 and was most recently CEO, specialty lines and a member of the executive leadership team, the statement said.
Mr. Colello joined the company in 2019 and is a member of PartnerRe’s executive leadership team.
Thierry Derez, chairman of the PartnerRe board of directors, noted the succession was an entirely internal process.
PartnerRe also announced that Christian Mitterer assumes executive responsibility for specialty lines as CEO, specialty lines, effective immediately, and Ingrid Gjonaj joins the executive leadership team as CEO, P&C EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
