Patriot buys legal sector broker

Patriot Growth Insurance Services LLC said Wednesday it has acquired E.T. Clauss & Co., a Buffalo, N.Y., brokerage that specializes in the legal sector.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1919, E.T. Clauss represents more than 800 law firms nationwide. It has about 10 employees, including principals Dieter, Eric and Ron Clauss.

As part of Patriot, E.T. Clauss will integrate with Patriot broker Buffalo Promark Partners and its established Architects & Engineers practice.

Founded in 2019, Patriot is the 24th largest broker of U.S. business, according to the most recent Business Insurance rankings.
