Pen Underwriting names Robert Dobson as Marine Claims Manager

Pen Underwriting, a provider of tailored insurance solutions, has announced the appointment of Robert Dobson as Marine Claims Manager. He will oversee the diverse range of specialisations within Pen’s rapidly growing marine division.

The company’s expanding team of technical underwriting and risk management experts covers areas such as ports and terminals, marine trades, brown water hull, marine professionals, war risks, and kidnap and ransom.

Most recently, Pen introduced a London market yacht specialty to address the growing global yacht industry.

Bringing over 40 years of experience in marine claims management and adjusting, Dobson has held senior positions at organisations including Argo Global, Aon, and Chubb Insurance Company of Europe.

Throughout his career, Dobson has managed a variety of marine claims, including hull and machinery, cargo, liabilities, and yachts. He has also worked to enhance claims processes by providing technical expertise and collaborating closely with underwriting teams.
