Penn State names chief risk officer

The Pennsylvania State University announced Thursday it has named Jared Wise chief risk officer.

He succeeds Bill Raab, who recently left the university to join Huron Consulting Group.

Mr. Wise previously was Penn State’s insurance program manager within the office of risk management, a role he has held since 2017.

As chief risk officer, he will serve as president of the Nittany Insurance Co., the university’s captive insurance program and lead the enterprise risk management council. He will oversee Penn State and Penn State Health’s programs for insurance and claims management, risk financing and enterprise risk management.
