PIB Group appoints Michael Hendriks as Chief Commercial Officer for Europe

PIB Group Ltd (PIB), an international insurance intermediary group, has appointed Michael Hendriks as Chief Commercial Officer for Europe to further strengthen its regional leadership team.

PIB’s international division is focused on expanding its retail brokerage while growing its reinsurance, wholesale, and underwriting operations, providing opportunities for regional consolidation and long-term growth.

In his new role, Hendriks will enhance PIB’s international strategy and support the development of its network of businesses.

He will work to integrate and extend the Group’s diverse capabilities across Europe, ensuring that PIB’s solutions are accessible to both local and multinational clients. Additionally, he will focus on expanding PIB’s presence in the German market, where he is based, and where PIB recently acquired Munich-based Contego.

A trained lawyer with 22 years of experience in the insurance industry, Michael joins PIB from Aon Germany, where he spent his entire career. Throughout his tenure at Aon, he held various management roles, overseeing sales, regional management, and specialties.

From 2018, he served as Chief Commercial Officer/Chief Relationship Officer for three years and, most recently, as Managing Director of Aon Germany, responsible for business operations in the North and West regions since 2021.
