PointeNorth adds pair of Georgia agencies

PointeNorth Insurance Group LLC said Thursday it added more than $7 million in annual revenue with the January acquisitions of Valdosta Insurance Services Inc. and Southern Insurance Advisors. 

Valdosta, Georgia-based Valdosta Insurance Services provides property/casualty insurance, employee benefits and life insurance products, PointeNorth said in a statement. Julian C.  Sherwood III, principal and president, and H. Byron Courson, principal and vice president, will continue to lead the agency, which will continue to operate under the Valdosta Insurance Services brand.

Milton, Georgia-based Southern Insurance Advisors provides property/casualty insurance solutions. Southern is led by President Kevin DiPetrillo and will operate under the PointeNorth Insurance Group brand.

Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Atlanta-based PointeNorth said it has acquired more than 50 agencies and books of business and operates from 15 locations.
