Poliseno to lead Chubb’s newly created North America Small & Lower Midmarket division

Global insurer Chubb has created the North America Small & Lower Midmarket division, with Rob Poliseno as Division President and Jason Ranucci as Chief Operating Officer.

The new division falls within Chubb’s North America Middle Market organisation, combining the insurer’s Lower Middle Market and Digital Small Business divisions into a single cohesive unit.

As Division President, Small & Lower Midmarket, Poliseno will be reporting to Ben Rockwell, Division President, Chubb North America Middle Market. Ranucci will report to Poliseno.

Commenting on the news, Juan Luis Ortega, Executive Vice President, Chubb Group, and President, Chubb North America, said: “The small business and lower middle market segments present significant growth and expansion opportunities for Chubb. Poliseno’s nearly 17 years at Chubb, including his role as Division President of Small Business and North America Digital, and his 28 years of industry experience, make him well-suited to lead Chubb’s Small & Lower Midmarket business, the firm stated.

His extensive background in insurance underwriting and distribution, combined with his proven ability to achieve operational excellence, further strengthens his leadership capabilities.

As COO, Ranucci will have extensive operating responsibilities, including P&L management and oversight of both field and home office underwriting, as well as product, pricing, portfolio management, and analytics.

The executive has over 17 years of experience in the insurance industry and was most recently Head of North America Lower Middle Market. Prior to that, he served as Global Chief Underwriting Officer for Small Business.
