Pool Re names Tom Clementi CEO

U.K. terrorism backstop and mutual Pool Re has named former MS Amlin Underwriting CEO Tom Clementi as its new chief executive.
Clementi will join Pool Re on April 4 and replace Julian Enoizi, who previously announced he was stepping down after eight years at the helm.
Clementi is currently strategic adviser to Lane Clark & Peacock.
The appointment comes after the announcement that Pool Re will be extended for another five years and the scheme’s overall pricing reduced by 20%, so more businesses can access cover.
The five-year extension has been approved by Pool Re’s board and all of its members following a strategic review.
