Porch Group appoints Emmanuel Bellegarde as Head of Reinsurance

Porch Group, a homeowners insurance and vertical software platform, has announced the addition of four insurance industry veterans to strengthen the organisation, including the appointment of Emmanuel Bellegarde as Head of Reinsurance.

In his new role, Bellegarde will play a key part in driving the reinsurance strategy, structuring placements, and securing optimal coverage with third-party providers.

Bellegarde is a risk management professional with a proven track record in the reinsurance industry. Previously, he served as Head of Casualty & Professional Liability Facultative Reinsurance North America at McGill and Partners.

Before that, he spent nine years at Aon in various reinsurance leadership roles, most recently as Managing Director. He also held roles at WTW.

Porch has also appointed Eric Lemieur as Head of Insurance Sales & Distribution, where he will lead the sales team and strengthen third-party agency relationships, supporting Porch’s focus on premium growth and distribution.

Lemieur is a sales, strategy, and operations executive with deep expertise in both exclusive and independent agent distribution channels. Previously, he held sales leadership roles at Farmers Insurance and Foremost.

Chad Mirock has been named Senior Director of Insurance Product & Strategy. A seasoned insurance executive, Mirock specialises in product management, underwriting, and pricing strategies, with a strong background in transformation and strategic leadership.

He previously held product management leadership positions at Country Financial, The Hartford, and Travelers.

Andrea Ferrari has been appointed Director of Underwriting, where she will be instrumental in optimising profitability and leading the underwriting team as Porch grows premiums while maintaining a focus on risk management.

Ferrari is a customer-focused and analytical underwriting executive with over two decades of experience in the insurance industry, specialising in wildfire risk underwriting, catastrophe risk modelling, and loss mitigation. She previously led underwriting at Kin and Hippo.

The addition of these four seasoned professionals strengthens the organisation across strategy, sales, reinsurance, underwriting, and risk management, as Porch enters a new phase focused on growth and margin expansion.
