QBE appoints Henrik Larsen as Nordics General Manager

Commercial insurer QBE has announced the appointment of Henrik Larsen as General Manager for the Nordics, effective 23rd June 2025.

Based in Copenhagen, Larsen will lead QBE’s team across Denmark and Sweden to strengthen the company’s market position in the region. He will report to Beatriz Valenti, Director of Insurance, QBE Europe.

In this role, Larsen will be responsible for implementing QBE’s European strategy in the Nordics, enhancing the company’s lead capabilities in Property and Casualty, Financial Lines, and Specialty portfolios, and expanding the product offering to support market share growth.

Larsen succeeds Maths Stanser, who was recently named QBE’s Head of Distribution for European markets after serving as General Manager for the Nordic region for seven years.

Larsen brings nearly 20 years of experience from Marsh, where he most recently served as Denmark and Finland CEO and was a Member of the Continental Europe Executive Committee.

After leaving Marsh in October 2024, he established the consulting firm Vicksen Invest.
