QBE hires Liberty Mutual executive as Canada director

QBE Insurance Group Ltd. said Monday it has hired Liberty Mutual Insurance Group executive Ben Hunter as director of its Canadian operations, effective January 2022.

Mr. Hunter succeeds Jamie Thompson, who was appointed director of financial lines for QBE’s European operations in May.

Based in Toronto, Mr. Hunter will report to Peter Burton, executive director, international markets, QBE European operations.

Mr. Hunter is currently vice president, head of marine, energy, construction, and risk services at Liberty Mutual Canada.
