QBE launches health care liability practice

QBE North America Tuesday launched a miscellaneous medical liability insurance coverage, the first product from its recently formed health care liability practice.

The policy offers primary and excess coverage for professional liability, physical and sexual misconduct, general liability, employee benefits liability, errors and omissions, and technology and media liability, according to QBE.

Maximum combined limits are $6 million per occurrence and $15 million aggregate.

The practice is headed by Chicago-based John Livatino, who joined the insurer from Beazley PLC in November.
