QBE Re appoints Brigstocke as Head of A&H and names four new hires

QBE Re has announced the addition of five new hires to its Accident & Health (A&H) team, appointing Henry Brigstocke as the new Head of A&H, who is joined by Mollie Sallery as Assistant Underwriter.

The reinsurer also added Georgina Raeburn to the London team as Senior Underwriter, and Harriet Ayre as Underwriter, who will both start in October.

Additionally, Jack Crotty, who has been appointed Underwriter, will join the team in November.

Brigstocke is joining QBE Re with two decades of industry experience, having held previous roles in A&H at Canopius Group and Kiln. His appointment is the sixth senior appointment made at QBE Re in 2024, moves that according to the reinsurer reflect both its growth and modernisation ambitions.

Sallery is joining QBE Re from Canopius Group. Her previous insurance experience also includes her tenure at Aon.

Raeburn, who has worked in A&H for a decade, is joining QBE Re from Arch, and Ayre is joining the company from Hiscox.

Prior to QBE Re, Crotty was part of Gallagher Re where he most recently served as Divisional Director and broker for their Life, Accident & Health department.
