RB Jones acquires Corvus’ Smart Cargo business

RB Jones, a unit of H.W. Kaufman Group, said Monday it has acquired Corvus Insurance’s Smart Cargo Insurance business.

The coverage will be written through Skyward Specialty Insurance Group Inc., a surplus lines insurer. It will cover temperature-sensitive cargo such as food and pharmaceuticals, RB Jones said in a statement.

Joining RB Jones from Corvus are Zandra Brown as head of specialty cargo and Kevin Kempf as product leader of specialty cargo.
