RB Jones offering motor truck cargo coverage

RB Jones, a managing general underwriting unit of H.W. Kaufman Group, on Thursday launched a motor truck cargo coverage that protects carriers against liability if cargo in their care is lost or damaged.

The coverage is led by former Axa XL marine leader Mike Perrotti, who joined RB Jones in December as director, inland marine.

The coverage provides up to $1 million in limits for truckers hauling traditional cargo and specialty truckers, including auto haulers, driveaway contractors, flatbed or steel haulers and wrecking/towing operations.

Coverage is backed by Atain Insurance Cos.

Mr. Perrotti most recently was chief underwriting officer for Marine North America at Axa XL.
