Relation acquires brokerage focused on aviation risk

Chicago-based brokerage Relation Insurance Services announced Friday it purchased True-Course Aviation Insurance Services Inc.

Terms of the transaction, which went into effect March 31, were not disclosed.

Camarillo, California-based True-Course, founded in 2009, places commercial, products liability, property and workers compensation coverage for companies in the aviation industry.

Relation is the 33rd-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent rankings.
