RIMS taps National Investor Relations Institute leader as next CEO

The Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. announced Tuesday that Gary LaBranche will succeed Mary Roth as CEO, effective June 1.

Ms. Roth, who joined RIMS in 1985, announced her retirement plans late last year.

Mr. LaBranche has served as president and CEO of the Alexandria, Virginia-based National Investor Relations Institute since March 2017. NIRI’s members represent 1,600 publicly traded companies with a combined market capitalization of $9 trillion, RIMS said in a statement.

Prior to that, he served as CEO of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Association Forum of Chicagoland.

“Risk management makes the world safer, more secure and more sustainable,” Mr. LaBranche said in the statement.
