Robin Gordon joins Hippo as Chief Data Officer

Hippo, a home insurance firm, has announced the appointment of data and artificial intelligence (AI) expert Robin Gordon as its new Chief Data Officer.

In her new role, Gordon will lead the strategic growth and evolution of the company’s Data & Analytics function, reporting directly to Hippo President and CEO, Rick McCathron.

She will leverage her experience to advance the use of predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI to enhance Hippo’s risk management capabilities and identify new opportunities for sustainable and diversified growth.

Gordon has held a number of executive roles in the past decade, including Chief Data Officer and Chief Technology Officer at global companies like Blackstone, KPMG, and CoreLogic, where she drove growth, digital transformation, and AI adoption.

While serving as Global Chief Data & Analytics Officer at MetLife, she launched the company’s first enterprise data strategy.

This initiative was designed to support $65 billion in revenue across 60 countries, with a focus on enabling automation and insights across core insurance processes.
