Rokstone, part of the Aventum Group, has made two key appointments within its recently announced US Casualty division, with Ben Baker joining the team as Deputy Head of US Casualty and Alex Fitzpatrick as a Senior Underwriter.

Baker joins the specialty MGA from Convex where he has spent four years, latterly as Class Underwriter, US Casualty.
He has also previously served as an Underwriter at Liberty Specialty markets and Novae, following a year’s Broking experience with Marsh.
Whereas, Fitzpatrick, who has more than 10 years’ experience in US Casualty, will join Rokstone from Apollo where he has spent six years.
Prior to joining Apollo, he served as an Underwriter at both Novae and Starr.
James Potter, CEO at Rokstone commented: “We’ve rapidly built out our Casualty division, expanding lines and teams and continuing our strategy of sound diversification. We’ve now got market leading talent in place. I’m-delighted to welcome Ben and Alex – two great hires; they both bring a high level of underwriting experience across a wide variety of US Casualty risks, as well as a broad network.
“Ben is a young, dynamic talent who has quickly developed into a very disciplined, well regarded and creative underwriter.
“Alex has an excellent reputation as a very technical and creative underwriter with a real eye for detail and again, a very established presence in the London market as a go to problem solver. Together with Larry they are the three amigos – the best in the business.”
Rokstone’s US Excess Casualty division will reportedly cover a range of sectors, including Construction, Transportation, Energy and US & Global Fortune 1,000 risk-managed accounts.
