Rokstone hires former Convex exec to head new US excess casualty division

Specialty managing general agent Rokstone Group Ltd., part of Aventum Group Ltd., Friday named Laurence Burrows, formerly with Convex Group Ltd., as head of its newly launched U.S. excess casualty division.

Mr. Burrows previously was liability underwriter for Convex and prior to that liability underwriter for Apollo syndicate 1969.

Rokstone’s excess liability portfolio serves the construction, transportation and energy sectors and U.S. and global Fortune 1,000 risk-managed accounts, with a focus on business-to-business commercial entities and emerging sectors such as renewables and the electric and autonomous vehicles industry.
