RSC acquires South Florida agency

Specialty brokerage RSC Insurance Brokerage Inc., which does business as Risk Strategies Co., said Thursday it has acquired independent agent Tanenbaum-Harber of Florida LLC.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Miramar, Florida-based agency focuses on commercial property/casualty and personal lines.
The deal includes the assets of Tanenbaum-Harber of California Inc., which operates from San Diego, RSC said in a statement.
Tanenbaum-Harber said it has more than 5,000 clients across sectors that include wholesale distribution, real estate, security, hospitality, technology and nonprofit. The broker’s website said it has about 40 staff in Florida.
Boston-based RSC is the 16th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to the most recent Business Insurance rankings.
