Ryan Specialty names CEO of MGU

Ryan Specialty LLC on Tuesday said it has promoted Catherine Gill to CEO of its managing general underwriter LifeScienceRisk, succeeding Mark Wood, who was named chairman.
Ms. Gill was previously chief underwriting officer of LifeScienceRisk. She joined the Chicago-based specialty underwriter in 2012. Mr. Wood has served as president and CEO since 2012.
LifeScienceRisk provides product and professional liability coverages for life sciences companies involved in the development, manufacturing and distribution of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology products and natural health and nutritional supplements.
