Ryan Specialty names MGU president

Ryan Specialty Group LLC said Tuesday it has promoted Chris Burns to president of Technical Risk Underwriters, its managing general underwriter specializing in construction risks.

Mr. Burns succeeds Katie Davies as president, but she will remain CEO of Technical Risk Underwriters.

Mr. Burns, based in Austin, Texas, has served as chief underwriting officer of Technical Risk Underwriters since 2018. He will maintain his underwriting responsibilities, Ryan Specialty said in a statement.
