Ryan Transactional Risk names co-heads of Continental Europe

Ryan Transactional Risk, the managing general underwriting unit of Ryan Specialty LLC, Tuesday named Marta Batalla and Luc Joordens as co-heads of Continental Europe.

Ms. Batalla, based in Madrid, and Mr. Joordens, based in Barcelona, Spain, will be responsible for underwriting, business development and expansion across the continent.

Ms. Batalla and Mr. Joordens joined Ryan Transactional in 2019 to set up its Continental European underwriting platform. They had previously worked for AmTrust Group.

Ms. Batalla was a 2022 Business Insurance Women To Watch honoree.
