SiriusPoint names head of U.S. and Canada reinsurance

SiriusPoint Ltd. said Monday it has named Ari Chester as head of U.S. and Canada reinsurance, succeeding Warren Trace, who has retired.

Mr. Chester, based in New York, will manage U.S. and Canadian business across property treaty, casualty treaty and other specialist lines. He was previously chief operating officer, Americas reinsurance at the Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer.

Mr. Chester joined SiriusPoint in early 2021. Prior to that he was a partner at McKinsey & Co.
