SiriusPoint picks former Royal Sun Alliance exec as CEO

SiriusPoint Ltd. announced Wednesday that Scott Egan has been appointed CEO of the Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer.
Mr. Egan served most recently as CEO of Royal Sun Alliance U.K. & International. He has held senior positions at Aviva, Zurich Financial Services, Brit Insurance, Tower Broking and other companies. He assumes his new role at SiriusPoint on Sept. 21.
SiriusPoint CEO Siddhartha Sankaran stepped down in May to “pursue other opportunities,” the company said. Daniel Mallory, previously an executive with the company, took over as interim CEO while the search for a successor was underway.
