Skuld appoints Thea Thorstensen & Nicola Kingman to key roles

Global marine insurer Skuld has appointed Thea Thorstensen to its global business development team and Nicola Kingman as Global Head of Yachts.

Thorstensen has been with Skuld for over a decade, holding various roles including Underwriter Executive, VP, Head of Underwriting for Skuld Oslo1, and most recently Senior Vice President, Head of Skuld Western Europe since September 2023.

In her new role, she will support Skuld’s global growth strategy, with a focus on the European region.

Gregory Thomas, Chief Business Development Officer, said, “Thea brings with her not only a deep-rooted knowledge of the business but also a tremendous amount of energy. I am delighted she has chosen to join the global business development team, focusing on the European region.”

Kingman will join Skuld in September, bringing extensive experience in superyacht insurance after 26 years at the Shipowners’ Club, where she most recently served as Yacht Syndicate Manager – Underwriting.
