Skyward names E&S execs

Skyward Specialty Insurance Group Inc. Tuesday named new executives to its surety excess and surplus businesses.

Tim Brewer, who was most recently vice president of commercial surety with Swiss Re Group, joins Houston-based Skyward as vice president of commercial surety, the company said in a statement. Mr. Brewer is based in Easley, South Carolina.

Skyward named Dan Kearney, most recently vice president of underwriting at Raleigh, North Carolina-based IAT Insurance Group Inc., to oversee its E&S general liability team. He is based in Frankfort, Illinois.

Skyward named Jim Mormile, formerly senior vice president at QBE North America, as its senior vice president and head of professional lines in August.
