Sompo Asia Pacific names Pui Ying Fun as VP, Regional Treasurer APAC

Sompo Asia Pacific has announced the appointment of Pui Ying Fun as Vice President, Regional Treasurer, Asia Pacific (APAC).

In her new role, Fun will be responsible for managing Sompo’s financial resources, ensuring liquidity, helping optimise capital structure, and mitigating financial risks across APAC.

She will collaborate closely with the regional and local finance and investment teams to ensure that treasury, liquidity management, and capital management strategies and policies are aligned globally.

The executive will be based in Singapore and report into Takashi Kurumisawa, Chief Financial Officer, APAC and Jay Munta, Global Treasurer, Sompo.

Fun in joining Sompo following 17 years at Standard Chartered Bank, where she has held a number of roles increasing in responsibility since joining the company in 2009, most recently serving as Executive Director, Regional Treasurer Indonesia Cluster.

She also spent over four years with American Express prior to her time at Standard Chartered Bank. Fun held a number of roles during her tenure including Treasury Analyst, Financial Analyst and Financial Manager.
