Specialty property program for quick-service restaurants launches

Origin Specialty Underwriters Agency LLC, a Rolling Meadows, Illinois-based managing general agent, and Emerald Bay Risk Solutions on Tuesday launched a specialty property insurance program for quick-service restaurants.

The program provides coverage for locations with up to $5 million in total insured values.

Coverages offered include property enhancement endorsements, business interruption and extra expense, spoilage coverage, food contamination, and employee dishonesty. Equipment breakdown and utility service coverage can be added.

Monoline property insurance can be bundled with Origin’s casualty coverage and is offered through Emerald Bay on nonadmitted paper.

Origin is a unit of Phoenix-based Beyond Risk Management Inc.
