SRS sets up MGU for alternative risks

Strategic Risk Solutions Inc. has established a managing general underwriter to offer alternative risk transfer products, the Concord, Massachusetts-based captive manager said Monday.

Zurich-based SRS Altitude is headed by Loredana Mazzoleni Neglén, who joins SRS from Swiss Re Ltd., where she was most recently global head, customer and distribution management and innovative risk solutions.

SRS Altitude, which will begin operations in the first quarter of 2024, will focus on structured insurance and reinsurance products and parametric coverages, among other alternative coverages, an SRS statement said.

SRS is the world’s fourth-largest captive manager, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
