Starwind hires CannGen cannabis executive

Starwind Specialty Insurance Services, the program management division of CRC Group, Tuesday said it has named former CannGen Insurance Services executive Charles Pyfrom as executive vice president, sales and distribution, for Starwind Cannabis.

Mr. Pyfrom will oversee the dedicated cannabis specialty program’s national sales and distribution strategy and partnerships with brokers, Starwind said.

Starwind Cannabis program offerings include property, general liability, products liability, inland marine and cyber.

Most recently, he was chief marketing officer at CannGen Insurance Services, a managing general underwriter specializing in legal cannabis.
