Starwind introduces four insurance programs

Starwind Specialty Insurance Services, a unit of CRC Group, Tuesday announced four new insurance programs.

The programs are Starwind environmental, Starwind political violence & terrorism, Starwind equipment and Starwind cannabis.

Environmental, led by program President Mike Padula, features environmental coverages including contractors pollution liability, contractors pollution and professional liability, site pollution liability, transportation pollution liability, and environmental excess liability for contractors, property owners, and environmental service providers managing complex environmental exposures.

Environmental has limit capacity up to $15 million, according to an email from a spokesperson.

PVT, under program President Chris Kirby, offers terrorism, active assailant and workplace violence coverage. Starwind PVT covers physical damage, business interruption, and liability and can offer up to $150 million combined single limit for terrorism and $5 million for active assailant and workplace violence, according to the email.

Equipment, led by program President Randi Glazer, provides property damage insurance and extended service contracts to protect heavy construction equipment at the point of sale. Limits for both physical damage coverage and the extended service contracts are $500,000, and the product can be written for up to 60 months, according to the email.

Cannabis, led by program president Tony McIntosh, offers coverage from crop protection and property risks to workers compensation and inland marine.

Cannabis offers property capacity up to $5 million per location with no limit on the number of locations. Facultative reinsurance can be added for higher limits, according to a spokesperson.

Limits for general liability capacity are up to $2 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate; for products liability, up to $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate; for inland marine/cargo, up to $500,000 per conveyance and $50,000 monies and securities, no aggregate; for management liability, up to $1 million. Workers compensation is offered at statutory limits by state.
