A partisan bill was introduced in the South Dakota state Senate on Tuesday that would extend the time to report a workplace injury for workers compensation benefits from three days to 30 days.
S.B. 70 would amend the existing law on the time frame to provide written notice of injury for compensation. The bill was read in the Senate and referred to the Senate Commerce and Energy Committee where it is now pending.
