Reinsurance technology platform Supercede has announced the appointment of Sarah Pearson as its first senior operations manager, with immediate effect.
Pearson’s hire is one of the first results of the USD$15 million Series A funding secured by Supercede in June.
According to the firm, one of the purposes of these funds was to expand its team by attracting top-tier talent to enhance platform development and implementation.
In her new role, Pearson will be reporting to Supercede’s co-founder and president Ben Rose, who commented: “Sarah’s appointment marks a significant step forward on our road to expansion. With strong management skills honed across a range of industries, her steady hand is exactly what we need to guide us into and beyond this next exciting stage of our journey.
“Sarah will be a central force in binding us together as we continue on our ambitious but necessary mission of reshaping the reinsurance industry.”
Pearson is joining Supercede from carbon data specialist SparkChange. She started her tenure at the company in 2019 as the firm’s chief of staff.
She previously held positions with IT business Global Switch and carbon emissions specialist C2Zero.
Founded in 2019 and headquartered in London, Supercede has established itself as a provider of reinsurance technology, with revenues surging over 500% in the past year, along with increasing investor confidence.
It aims to ‘shake-up the reinsurance industry’ with its innovative technology that has been developed to improve workflow efficiency, data accuracy, and operational agility, leading to better risk management, optimised coverage, and enhanced pricing outcomes.
