Swiss Re announces executive changes

Swiss Reinsurance Co. Ltd. said Friday that Katie McGrath will succeed Ivan Gonzalez as regional CEO for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in North America as he relocates to Beijing to become CEO Reinsurance China and China country president, both effective July 1.
Ms. McGrath, who is based in New York, has been responsible for the accident and health portfolio in North America since joining Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in 2019. Prior to joining Swiss Re, she worked in several senior roles with American International Group Inc. in New York, the statement said Friday.
Mr. Gonzalez will have responsibility for all reinsurance operations in China and serve as Swiss Re’s president in the country. He was most recently the CEO North America for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, since 2016. He began his career in 2001 as a financial analyst with Swiss Re Capital Partners in New York.
