Swiss Re Asia adds Alan Wilson to its Board of Directors

Global reinsurer Swiss Re has appointed Alan Wilson as a member of the Board of Directors for its Asian business, Swiss Re Asia Pte. Ltd. (SRAL).
Wilson is an industry veteran with 45 years of experience, and stepped into his new role on August 1st, 2024.
Most recently, he was a non-executive director on the Singapore-based MSIG Asia Pte Ltd.’s board.
Wilson has spent 40 years of his career in Asia, including over 30 years in Singapore. He was also MSIG Asia’s Chief Executive Officer for 14 years, since joining the firm in early 2008.
Over his career, Wilson has served in leadership and executive roles in several international insurance groups including Allianz and Parkway Group.
In April 2015, Wilson was appointment as the first foreign executive officer in Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (Japan). He has also served as Chairman and, or a Director on the Boards or equivalent for 20 MSIG-related entities around the region.
