Texas Mutual appoints Prateek Sangal COO

Texas Mutual Insurance on Tuesday announced that Prateek Sangal has taken on the role of chief operating officer.

Mr. Sangal, based in Dallas, will oversee all insurance operations, including policyholder services and underwriting and premium audits, according to a statement.

He was most recently senior vice president and head of digital for North America property and casualty at AmTrust Financial Services.

Before AmTrust, Mr. Sangal was chief commercial lines officer at NSM Insurance Group, leading underwriting, operations, technology, marketing and distribution. He began his career in data and analytics with Progressive and has held leadership roles at Farmers and CNA.

The company’s current CEO Jeannette Ward had been appointed COO before her promotion in 2023. The company “took time to evaluate its long-term executive structure before reopening the role,” a spokeswoman said.
