Tracey Gibbons becomes QBE Re’s Global Head of Strategic Development

Tracey Gibbons has been appointed Global Head of Strategic Development at QBE Re, the reinsurance arm of QBE Insurance Group.
The executive, who has over 40 years’ experience in multiple classes of business, has been part of QBE Re since 2021, when she joined the company as Head of QBE Re, Bermuda.
Prior to that, Gibbons was a Senior Vice President at Third Point Re, now SiriusPoint. She also spent 16 years as SVP Specialty Treaty at Allied World Re.
Her career has also seen her hold roles at Overseas Partners and Highland Fidelity – the Bermuda based captive insurance company for the Thompson Group, now Thomson Reuters.
Commenting on the move, Gibbons said: “This is a new role for the company and I feel very honored that I have been chosen to fill it.
“A big thank you to the wonderful team(s) that I work with at QBE Re. I look forward to our continued success and seeing all the wonderful things we can achieve when we work together.”
