Vantage appoints James Gunson as Chief Claims Officer of insurance

Specialty insurer and reinsurer, Vantage Group Holdings Ltd., has appointed James (Jim) Gunson as Chief Claims Officer of insurance operations.

In his new role, Gunson will report to Alex Blanco, Chief Executive Officer of Insurance. He will lead Vantage’s claims organisation with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and exceptional service.

His additional responsibilities include leading claims strategies that align with Vantage’s commitment to its policyholders, ensuring claims are handled efficiently and fairly.

Gunson will also drive initiatives that leverage the firm’s core data, technology, and analytics capabilities, and prioritise cross-functional coordination to support the company’s brokers and clients.

Throughout his career, Gunson has worked with several insurers, leading claims strategies to enhance accountability, efficiency, and customer service to manage complex claims portfolios and drive operational excellence.
