Vantage names casualty execs

Vantage Group Holdings Ltd. Tuesday named Thomas Krzmarzick head of U.S. excess casualty and Thomas Burtle chief underwriting officer, casualty, in newly created roles.

Mr. Krzmarzick, based in Chicago, was previously vice president, Vantage Risk. He joined the company in 2022 and prior to that was deputy head of U.S. excess casualty at Aspen Insurance Group.

Mr. Burtle, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, most recently was vice president, excess casualty. He joined the company in 2021 from Sompo International where he was an underwriter.

Mr. Krzmarzick will be responsible for portfolio management, capital utilization and underwriting leadership. He and Mr. Burtle will jointly lead business plan execution, develop casualty products and establish underwriting guidelines.

Vantage also said Sean Hansen was promoted to underwriting manager-U.S. excess casualty.
