Vantage Group Holdings Ltd., a provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions, has announced the promotions of Thomas (TJ) Krzmarzick to Head of U.S. Excess Casualty and Thomas Burtle to Chief Underwriting Officer, Casualty.
These promotions reflect Vantage’s commitment to sustained, profitable growth within its U.S. Excess Casualty portfolio and its focus on capitalising on continued market opportunities.
Denise Watkins, SVP, Head of Casualty, said, “It’s with great enthusiasm that we announce these key leadership promotions within our U.S. Excess Casualty team.
“Our team’s ability to see risk differently and respond quickly is what sets us apart, and it’s essential for serving our wide range of customers. With our flexible capabilities and capacity, we’re confident in our ability to meet the evolving needs of our insureds and brokers. These promotions will further strengthen our team and enhance our ability to deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions. Our unwavering commitment to our clients’ needs is at the heart of everything we do.”
In his new role, Krzmarzick will oversee portfolio management, capital utilisation, and underwriting leadership.
Krzmarzick has served as Vice President at Vantage Risk for the past three years. Before joining Vantage, he spent seven years at Aspen Insurance Group, most recently as Deputy Head of U.S. Excess Casualty, and nine years at AIG in various leadership roles within Excess Casualty.
As Chief Underwriting Officer, Casualty, Burtle will be responsible for maintaining underwriting quality and standards while driving underwriting efficiencies.
He has been with Vantage for four years, most recently as Vice President, Excess Casualty. Prior to Vantage, Burtle was an Underwriter at Sompo International and held roles at Endurance and State Farm.
Krzmarzick and Burtle will jointly lead business plan execution, casualty product development, and the establishment of underwriting guidelines. In addition to KPI-driven portfolio reviews, they will continue underwriting business directly.
In conjunction with these promotions, Sean Hansen, who has been with Vantage for three years, has been promoted to Underwriting Manager, U.S. Excess Casualty. In his new role, Hansen will manage a book of business and oversee the daily operations of an underwriting team.
