Venbrook hires former USI practice leader

Private equity-backed brokerage Venbrook Group LLC said Thursday it has hired former USI Insurance Services LLC executive Jeff Lang as executive vice president, retail services.

Mr. Lang will head Los Angeles-based Venbrook’s retail segment, including property/casualty and employee benefits, the brokerage said in a statement. He will also focus on growing Venbrook’s personal lines business for wealthy individuals.

Prior to joining Venbrook, Mr. Lang was executive vice president and P&C practice leader for USI.

Venbrook is a holding company for various insurance intermediaries, including retail brokerages, wholesalers and program managers. It received backing from a New York Life unit in 2016.
