Volante Global appoints Martin Reith as interim CEO

Volante Global, an international Managing General Agent (MGA) and Lloyd’s Syndicate, has appointed Martin Reith in the role of interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO), following his appointment at the end of last year as Executive Chairman.

The firm stated this appointment aligns with its growth plan for Syndicate 1699.

Reith’s extensive re/insurance industry experience, which spans over four decades, will reportedly provide valuable stewardship in promoting profitable, strategic underwriting growth whilst fostering long-term partnerships of alignment.

Reith is the founder and former Group CEO of Ascot Underwriting Limited, which he established in 2001 with backing from AIG.

After stepping down from the role in 2009, he served as a Non-Executive on Ascot’s Board until 2011.

Reith has held a variety of leadership positions in underwriting, distribution, and alternative capital, most recently serving as CEO of Helios Underwriting PLC.

Additionally, he has taken on multiple advisory roles as a non-executive director at various companies both within and beyond the re/insurance industry.
