Westfield Specialty adds Craig Nugent and Joseph Beltran to its PI team

Westfield Specialty International, a global insurance provider, has announced the appointments of Craig Nugent as Senior Underwriter and Joseph Beltran as Underwriter for its Professional Indemnity (PI) team.

Both will be based in London and will report to Mark Fellows, Head of Financial and Professional Lines.

Fellows expressed his enthusiasm for the new appointments, saying, “It is fantastic to welcome Craig and Joseph to our growing PI team, and both arrive with expertise that will be crucial in continuing to provide the best service to our clients as we grow our book.

Nugent brings nearly 20 years of experience in the PI sector. He joins Westfield Specialty from Sompo International, where he served as AVP/Professional Indemnity Insurance Underwriter. Prior to that, he spent a decade at AXIS Capital as a Professional Indemnity Insurance Underwriter.

Beltran brings a decade of insurance industry experience, joining from Optio where he worked as an Underwriter. Before that, he served as an Assistant Underwriter at The Hartford. He has also held roles at Pacific Life Re, Hiscox, and Zurich.
