Weston Tompkins named Executive Director, Capital Markets at MultiStrat

MultiStrat, a specialist underwriter and reinsurance investment platform, has announced the appointment of Weston Tompkins as Executive Director within its Capital Markets team.

Tompkins will leverage his over three decades of experience in the institutional investment business to lead MultiStrat Advisors, a US-based capital advisory company focused on sourcing investor capital to support reinsurance opportunities originated by MultiStrat.

In his new role, the executive will oversee and manage the firm’s relationships with third-party investors, and oversee capital raising initiatives, capital analytics and strategy to support the continued growth of MultiStrat.

Additionally, Tompkins will assist the executive team in exploring new investment opportunities and initiatives to support the near and long-term success of the group.

He will be reporting to Bob Forness, Chief Executive Officer of MultiStrat, who commented: “We are excited to welcome Weston to our team as we continue to seek out opportunities for investment and growth.

“His extensive industry experience in US institutional investment consultancy, management, sales, and client services roles will make him an invaluable addition to our organization”.

Tompkins is joining MultiStrat from Tribe Capital Management, where in his role as a Senior Vice President, Investor Relations, he was responsible for developing and institutionalising the firm’s venture capital business.

His previous experience includes senior investor relations positions at Securis Investment Partners, Towers Watson Investment Services, and Hewitt Investment Group, among others.
