Willis acquires climate risks specialist

Willis Towers Watson PLC said Tuesday it has acquired Butterwire, a financial analytics company with expertise in climate risks.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Butterwire, based in Glasgow, Scotland, provides data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning platforms.

The fintech will become part of Willis’ climate and resilience hub.
