Willis hires Marsh’s Pat Donnelly as Head of Risk & Broking, NA

Brokerage Willis, a WTW business, has appointed Pat Donnelly as the Head of Risk & Broking (R&B), North America (NA), reporting to Lucy Clarke, President of R&B.

Donnelly will be based in Chicago and is expected to join the company in the second quarter of 2025.

He is a proven leader in the insurance and risk management industry with experience in various leadership roles at re/insurance broker’s Marsh, JLT, and Aon.

Most recently, he has served as President, Specialty & Global Placement at Marsh, which Donnelly joined as part of the acquisition of JLT.

At Marsh, he has previously served as President, Marsh US and Canada, overseeing the company’s insurance broking and risk advisory businesses across North America.

Prior to this, he was the Chief Executive Officer of JLT Specialty in North America, where he successfully built the US retail business.

Donnelly spent several years at Aon as the Chief Broking Officer for US Retail.
